Jamaica NAACP a Hit at National Convention

NAACP Kicks Off Summer Voter Registration Drive

The Jamaica Branch kicked off its summer voter registration drive on Saturday, June 7, with the support of branch members, volunteers, NYS NAACP leadership and elected officials. Read more here.

The Jamaica Branch Opposes New Upstate Senate Seat
March 2012
Representatives from the branch were joined by local leaders to call on Governor Cuomo to oppose the creation of a new Senate seat in upstate New York, citing the need for additional representation downstate instead. The Times Ledger has more details here.
