About the Event
Online scams are designed to create urgency before you have time to think. A convincing message, fake opportunity, or fraudulent payment request can lead to financial loss in seconds.
In the second workshop of the Stay Sharp series, participants will learn:
• The psychological tactics commonly used in online scams
• How to identify fake giveaways, job offers, investment schemes, and impersonation scams
• Why payments sent through Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, and similar services can be difficult to recover
• How to strengthen payment-app security and transaction limits
